Sub Shop Menu

I got the idea for the Sub Shop menu during a typography class I took at Columbia College. The assignment was to revamp the menu of a local restaurant, and I went with Sub Shop here in Columbia, MO. Their retro vibe was the perfect starting point for my creative process. This project held significant importance for me as a designer because it allowed me to experiment with incorporating hand-drawn elements into digital graphics. I used a quill nib and black ink to hand-draw the sandwich and soda on the menu, then scanned and adjusted the colors to fit the overall design. To enhance the '70s aesthetic, I also created a retro stripe pattern!
