Interview
with the vampire

For my final semester at Columbia College, I completed a Senior Mentor Project — a semester-long assignment where we worked one-on-one with a mentor on a self-directed design challenge. I decided to explore something I’d always wanted to try: book cover design.

With guidance from my graphic design professor, I chose to redesign Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice in four distinct styles: classic, abstract, illustrative, and modern. Since the original cover doesn’t offer much variation, I saw this as an opportunity to really push my creativity and experiment with different visual approaches.

To take the project a step further, I brought each design to life through print production — gaining hands-on experience with layout, materials, and presentation. Can you tell which style is which? And more importantly… which version would you want to pick up?
