Local Love

  Local Love is a mockup app I developed in my Web Design I class using Adobe XD.

Our assignment was to create an app inspired by a word of our choosing: “delight, sorrow, explore, or generosity.” Opting for "explore," I conceptualized Local Love, which focuses on discovering locally owned businesses in your vicinity. The app's features include selecting business categories such as food or shopping. The idea is that users can filter businesses based on distance and price, with the app forming partnerships with local businesses to offer exclusive discounts accessible only through the app. This incentivizes shopping locally, boosts representation for local businesses, and provides users with deals. Additionally, the app includes a map for users to view their surroundings differently and a community page where users can leave reviews or engage in community posts.
