The Fall Faculty Conference featured a logo competition within my Corporate Identity class. Our task was to design a logo for the conference attended by faculty members from the Center for Teaching and Learning at Columbia College. The conference theme was "Bridging the gap," with the tagline “Today’s classroom, tomorrow’s skills.” We pitched our designs to the CTL board members, who would then select a winner. An important aspect was ensuring the logo not only encapsulated the conference theme but also harmonized with the existing CTL logo, including its color palette. I aimed for a logo that reflected the professional yet interactive nature of the event. While maintaining a professional tone, I also wanted the logo to feel inviting, considering the interactive and conversational atmosphere of a conference. Alongside my pitch slides, I will include the preexisting CTL logo for reference.
